There is a determined effort, led by Lori Waldo, to examine the possibilities for governance in the area north of Hwy 26. As I write this the summer solstice has just passed. It was one of the coldest and dampest summer solstices I remember – sort of like Rose Festival week usually is. I notice the same varieties of weeds are setting seeds in my yard at this time. I have a patch of Reed Canary Grass forming in a swampy area to my regret and disgust. It is hard to eradicate and easy to spread. I try to mow it before it sets seeds and it’s on the verge of viable seed so I had better get to it. Just like writing this View.
