January Meeting minutes and updates since last meeting: Attendees at the January 13 meeting: Bill O’Brien, Bill Hagerup, Bob Porter, Laural Engeman, Virginia Bruce, Kirke Johnson, Kathi Johnson and James Trumper Old Business: · MSTIP Letter o James and Virginia got together to make a presentation at the CCI meeting on 1/19/09 o Our presentation was generally well received – some notable comments: 1. In general the CCI group felt that MSTIP funds should not be used for non-road projects 2. Other CPO’s are receptive to creating connecting neighborhood committees 3. JT and VB to present at CPO-7 meeting on 2/22 · Timberland Trail/Parks within former Teufel property o Field Trip review – see article on CPO-1 website o Construction on boardwalk won’t be resumed until spring. o THPRD won’t accept trail and associated parks until work is complete o Jeffrey Jensen appeal status – hearings officer has not published final decision · Connectivity between Highway 26 bike/ped path (on North side of 26 between Skyline and Camelot Court) and 82nd Avenue and Barnes Road. o connectivity options – postponed until February · Community Outreach o Ideas to expand group membership and increase community awareness – to be continued · Website: o Updates now being made to the website for field trip summaries/meeting notices etc. · Other items: o Health Impact Assessment Mentor Program follow up – no update o Letter to Marshall Street neighbors – Bill H. to look into working with Terra Linda HOA o acitybychoice.org – put on back burner New Business: · Nature in Neighborhoods restoration and enhancement grants – no update · Intertwine.org and Alternative Transportation Committee (see enclosed from Virginia) o Virginia has recommended that CCI become a member of Intertwine · Next field trip - Cedar Mill to Jordan Park and ?
